About Us

The best estate agents have a thorough technical knowledge of property; the local area and conveyancing as well as being fussy perfectionists with a camera and putting as much effort into the preparation of property particulars as writing an A-grade essay. They are a hand to hold and the voice of reason when things are getting rocky and the people who should joyfully dance with you when you finally collect the key to your new house. They should, above all, care deeply about you the customer and your home.

We are blessed to have an office with wonderful people like this…

    A little bit about me...

She is back!!  We are so thrilled to have our lovely Grace working with us again and very lucky that she loves us enough to come back! Grace is our senior negotiator and her smiling face will greet you on viewings and in the office to help you find your dream home.

    • What makes me smile:

The sun shining, spending time with my family, not forgetting my snowy cat Wilfy and PUPPIES !!

    • Not my cup of tea:

PG Tips, it’s Yorkshire tea, biscuit brew for me, don’t knock it until you try it.

    • Favourite Island spot:

My stomping ground, walking from Lake through to Shanklin along the cliff path, then strolling down to the seafront and walking back along the revetment to Sandown.

Its such a beautiful walk, with plenty of places to stop for coffee, cake and ice cream, what more could you want?

    • Guilty Pleasure :

Love Island, Married at First Sight and Lego, don’t judge me.

    • Super Power (according to Megan):

The ability to see the joy in everything and her positivity is uplifting.

    A little bit about me...

I was the first of my family born on the Isle of Wight but feel like an Islander through and through. After being educated in Ryde, I joined a local estate agency after my A Levels. Buying my own agency in 2005 was the best 30th birthday present ever! I’m surrounded by an amazing group of friends and colleagues who all share my passion for property and people. I live in Brighstone with my two doggy babies (you’ll meet the gang if you pop into my office).

    • My role as Managing Director:

The overall running of the business (fun stuff like accounts and VAT returns); specialist market appraisals, especially village property and making sure we offer a level of service that surprises and delights our customers.

    • What makes me smile:

Big ginger beards, incredibly strange films and when I look down to find one of my dogs smiling up at me!

    • Not my cup of tea:

Incorrectly used apostrophes on advertising signs. Grr!

    • Favourite Island spot:

My commercial property renovation in Newport which I’m bringing back to its original historic glory.  It’s a labour of love, but I adore my ramshackle old pile.

    • Guilty Pleasure:

Star Wars! I’m a secret nerd of the highest order so am partial to a bit of table top gaming (usually when I’m supposed to be doing my accounts!).

    A little bit about me...

I was born and bred on the Island, and am a Gurnard girl. I lived away for a few years in London and then realised the error of my ways and moved back with my husband in 1996. My background as a financial advisor eventually led to working in estate agency, which is where I met Megan. When she set up on her own in 2005 I was thrilled to join her and here I am, doing something that I love and am lucky enough to be good at. I cannot imagine working anywhere else or with anyone else, and even though being a great estate agent is stressful and emotional, it is hugely rewarding and I wouldn’t swap it for the world!

    • My role as Office Manager:

The daily running of the office and supporting the team; market appraisals all over the Island and the juicy, difficult parts of sales progressing.

    • What makes me smile:

Long sunny days; really good locally sourced food and working in my garden.

    • Not my cup of tea:

Bad manners and having to decide what to have for tea.

    • Favourite Island spot:

Gurnard Green at sunset – it is where my husband and I sat and decided to come back to the Island, and have never regretted it..

    • Guilty Pleasure:

Emily in Paris – I love a bit of girly escapism…

    • Super Power (according to Megan):

Quite simply the best estate agent on the IW.  (I’ve no proof but I dare you to find a better one!)

  • Luca & Nimrod

    A little bit about me...

Luca – Head of Well Being

Luca, on the left, is here to help us de-stress during our busy day in the office. His soulful eyes and gentle manner can only make you feel chilled, and remind you what is important in the world. He may not say much, but his loving nature speaks volumes and he helps us all get through particularly difficult transactions.

    Nimrod – Head of Reception

Nimrod, on the right, loves to greet clients when they come into the office with a gentle woof and a wag of his tail. He also thinks of himself as a bit of a security guard, so be prepared for him to check your shopping bags for you, just in case you happen to be carrying sausages, which he might have to take away for inspection.

  • Despite the challenging property market conditions your sound advice from the beginning and the commitment of the staff at Megan Baker has been first class and no doubt made the difference between getting the sale clinched this spring or seeing  it unduly delayed.

    Mr L – Cowes
